Turkish-born, Dutch photographer Ahmet Polat is as equally active in the world of fashion as documentary photography. For the latter, he works in black and white to which his recent series ‘Imagine Istanbul’ bears witness. With his innate ability for capturing the atmosphere of a place, he manages to dress a warm and dynamic portrait of the city’s inhabitants. His work speaks of humanity in general and the tensions between man and society.
